2015-04-12

2014-15 trophy recipients

The Farmers' Mutual Jr. Bulldogs organization held its annual awards banquet Thursday, April 2 at Piper's Pub, with nine players recognized for their individual efforts during the season.

From left to right, players and their awards were:
  • Giordano Saputo - Bulldogs 3-D Award
  • Tanner Doiron - Rookie of the Year
  • Emerson Coulter - MVP Regular Season
  • Dylan MacLean - Most Improved Player Award
  • Tyler VanOirschot - Coach's Award
  • Shawn Long - President's Award
  • Riley MacIsaac - True Team Player Award
  • Kory Tate - Top Defenseman & MVP Playoffs
  • Nate Letcher - Leading Scorer Award

Coach Richard MacKenzie and Miles Tompkins, president, sincerely thanked all players, coaches, bench staff and board members, as well as parents, for their contribution, commitment and dedication to the team and organization during the past season.

Coach MacKenzie acknowledged that it had been a tough season, a season when players really learned what it took to play through injury and adversity, while facing strong competition game-in and game-out. He expressed hope that those eligible to return would do so and that there would be a good mix of veterans and new players vying for positions at next season's tryouts.

Enjoy the break, stay in shape and be ready for another exciting season of Bulldog hockey starting in September.
