Bulldogs Head Coach anxious to get the season rolling.
Bulldogs Play Home Opener against the League Champion Blazers.
The Antigonish Junior B Bulldogs, under new head coach Donnie Grant, will play their home opener against the 2018-19 League Champion Sackville Blazers on Friday Sept. 20, 2019. Joining Grant on the bench will be assistant coach David Cusak, who coached the Cabot Highlanders with Grant last year, while assistant coach David kennedy returns from last year's staff. According to Coach Grant, "We had a great camp - I was impressed with the level of talent we have been able to assemble and I am especially pleased to again have a lot of local players on the squad." Coach Grant added, "We picked up some very good players this week that will really help our squad this year. Have to admit, we are very excited to get going. Sackviile is a known quantity - usually a big physical team that likes to move the puck and plays aggressively in all three zones. I expect them to be very good." Coach Grant finished off by saying that he hopes to see a lot of folks come out and support the team again this year, as he is confident people will like what they see.
