Game two goes to Bulldogs

2012-02-25

Steven MacGillivray scores twice

Steven MacGillivray, Bobby Hamer and David McCarthy each scored on the power-play, while MacGillivray added another at even strength to lead the Bulldogs to a 4-3 win over the Miners at the Bay Plex Saturday night.

With the win, the Bulldogs are up two games to none in their Sid Rowe Division semi-final series.  Justin Chiasson chipped in with two assists, while Graeme Lodge, Tim MacDougall, Peter Topshee and Fraser White each had one helper as the Jr. B's tasted victory in Glace Bay for the first time this season, including regular season and playoffs. Derrick Tait turned aside 41 shots, while his Glace Bay counterpart, Scott MacDonald, stopped 46 of the 50 scoring attempts by the 'Dogs.

Game three Sunday night at the Arena should see the Bulldogs focused on taking a stranglehold lead in the series, while the Miners will be trying to give the 'Dogs a taste of their own medicine with a win at the Arena.  Expect to see a great game.  Come out to the Antigonish Arena and support NSJHL hockey and your Jr. B Bulldogs.
